FINAL JUDGE, CONTEST NUMBER NINE

We feel both pleased and honored that Dr. Erica Bauermeister, Final Judge for our Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and EIGHTH contests, will return to be Final Judge for Contest NINE!

Our Judge is the bestselling author of the novel The School of Essential Ingredients. This novel has been translated into nineteen different languages. She is also co-author of 500 Great Books by Women: A Reader's Guide, and Let's Hear It For the Girls: 375 Great Books for Readers 2-14. Her second novel, Joy for Beginners, is recently out in book stores and on-line. She has a PhD in Literature from the University of Washington and has taught at the UW and Antioch University.

Our judge told us: "Perhaps more fun and importantly, I recently participated in the University of Washington Bookstore's 110 words project, which collected 110 words from 110 authors to commemorate the Bookstore’s 110 years of existence, so I have a renewed appreciation of writing in such an abbreviated form."
